Seven players have been nominated for the 2025 Chris Schenkel PBA Player of the Year award based on their performance in the PBA Tour season. The award honors the legacy of Hall of Fame broadcaster Chris Schenkel. The nominees, listed alphabetically, are Andrew Anderson, Jason Belmonte, Graham Fach, Ethan Fiore, Jesper Svensson, EJ Tackett, and Chris Via.

To qualify for the ballot, a player must have won at least one PBA Tour title and ranked among the top 10 in earnings during the calendar year. Any player with multiple titles is automatically added. All PBA members are invited to vote for the Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards. Winners, including for other awards like the Tony Reyes Community Service and Steve Nagy Sportsmanship awards, will be announced later this month.

Andrew Anderson had a standout season, winning two titles: the PBA Mike Aulby Nevada Classic and the PBA Tour Finals, both by defeating EJ Tackett. These were his first singles titles since 2018, the year he previously won Player of the Year. Anderson ranked second in points (18,120), third in earnings ($203,781), and third in average (224.24). He competed in all 18 title events, achieving seven top-five finishes, nine top-10 finishes, and 14 cashes.

Jason Belmonte won one title this season, the PBA Roth/Holman Doubles Championship with Bill O'Neill. He led the 82-game PBA World Championship as the No. 1 seed and ranked third in points (15,365), fourth in earnings ($190,835), and second in average (225.87). In 16 title events, he earned four top-five finishes, nine top-10 finishes, and 14 cashes. Belmonte holds the record for most Player of the Year awards, tied with Walter Ray Williams Jr. at seven.

Graham Fach won the PBA Delaware Classic, marking his first title since 2016. He started the season strongly with this victory and added a ninth-place finish in the U.S. Open. Fach also qualified for the one-handed PBA All-Star Team.
