Barangay Ginebra aims to secure a win following two runner-up finishes, Magnolia looks to make a deep run under a new coach, Rain or Shine hopes for a breakthrough after three consecutive semifinal appearances, and Meralco strives to reclaim the Philippine Cup throne it held over a year ago.

Other teams such as Converge, NLEX, Blackwater, Phoenix, and Terrafirma are also aspiring to improve their fortunes. This conference marks the debut of Titan Ultra, which joined the PBA after acquiring the NorthPort franchise.

The initial schedule includes matches at various venues: October 5 at Araneta Coliseum, October 8 at Ynares Center Antipolo, and October 10-12 at Ynares Center Montalban and Antipolo.
