PBA: Will Don Trollano see action for San Miguel vs Magnolia?

07/11 08:02

San Miguel Beermen head coach Leo Austria provided an update on Don Trollano, who is currently dealing with back spasms that caused him to miss the team's previous match against Converge. Trollano will be a game-time decision for the upcoming PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup game against Magnolia at the Ynares Center in Montalban on Friday, November 7, as the Beermen aim for their fourth consecutive win.

Coach Austria stated that Trollano will suit up for the game, but his clearance to play will depend on the team's physical therapist's assessment after the warm-up. This decision follows Trollano's absence in the last match, where San Miguel still managed to defeat Converge 96-90, led by strong performances from June Mar Fajardo and Juami Tiongson, despite Trollano being recognized as Mr. Quality Minutes by the PBA Press Corps.

In addition to Trollano's injury, Jericho Cruz is also facing health issues, including a ruptured Baker's cyst from the previous season and recent colds. Cruz played in the weekend game against Converge in Antipolo, contributing six points, two rebounds, and a steal, as he felt compelled to step in due to Trollano's absence and expressed readiness to give his full effort when called upon.

The San Miguel Beermen are set to face the Magnolia Hotshots in the main game at 7:30 p.m., with the team navigating these injury concerns while pursuing their winning streak.
