PBA: Meralco Bolts mark 15th year with new look, retro touches
The Meralco Bolts unveiled new logos and uniforms on Friday as part of a rebrand for the upcoming PBA season and their participation in the East Asia Super League. The introduction took place during the league's Media Day at The Elements at Centris in Quezon City.
During the event, players showcased black jerseys featuring blue and orange trims. Chris Newsome indicated that the team will also have a white version of the uniform and will wear orange replicas inspired by the uniforms from the company's 1971 MICAA championship.
The Bolts previously wore these retro orange uniforms in a game against the San Miguel Beermen during the PBA's 50th anniversary celebration in April. The previous dark jersey design consisted of navy blue with white and orange trims, which the team wore when they won the PBA Philippine Cup title in 2024.
The rebrand coincides with Meralco's 15th year in the PBA and their East Asia Super League campaign, which will feature the loaned players Justin Brownlee from Barangay Ginebra and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson from TNT. However, Jason Brickman will not be available for the time being as he remains under contract with Abra in the MPBL.
