Delta Pineda sees Rafi Reavis as important piece for Converge in PBA Season 50
Rafi Reavis has signed with the Converge FiberXers for PBA Season 50, bringing his extensive experience and championship background to the team as they aim to make an impact in the league.
At 48 years old, Reavis is entering his 23rd season in the PBA and was recently released by Magnolia, making this a fresh start for him. He joins a youthful Converge roster, where he becomes the oldest player, with Kevin Racal now the second oldest at 34, and adds his 11 PBA championships to a team that has not yet reached the semifinals.
Converge head coach Delta Pineda emphasized the value of Reavis, noting that he can provide four minutes per quarter to allow key players like Justin Arana and Justine Baltazar to rest during intense moments, thereby strengthening the team's frontcourt dynamics.
Reavis began his career with Coca Cola and Ginebra before making a significant mark with the Purefoods franchise, where he won seven championships, including the rare Grand Slam in 2014, prior to his departure from the Hotshots.
